Our delivery services will be very limited between 8th-24th July 2024

Why?

It's something we decided after the lockdowns really - every Summer we had one small team on for 2 weeks and then another on for 2 weeks so people could have holidays.  You know what, it seems like a good idea on paper, but in a small business it really doesn't work and everyone ends up either sending or receiving messages and resolving issues whilst on holiday because they're 'the one person' who does something.

We're not Amazon or Tesco or even Ebay, we're small, really small and we work like crazy to provide an online experience and service at the same super-fast and excellent customer service level as much larger competitors do. It's a real challenge and you can't do it with half a team in a family run business.

We have decided that we're closing for 2 weeks on 8th July to 24th July.

We know what you're thinking - 'how can they afford to turn away that business?' We don't think we are going to lose - the Summer months are quieter for us and we like to think our customers are more into the local business, slow retail way of operating. 

One thing the pandemic (which we all worked like the clappers throughout), has told us is that our mental health is paramount - if we're all off sick, or too grumpy to deliver top customer service, we're not going to last long anyway, so that's what we've decided - 2 solid weeks off for everyone, and the family and then we'll be back in action as normal, but refreshed and ready to take on the rest of the year!

We know our regular customers will totally 'get this' and thank you, we hope everyone will understand and we'll be back to our normal efficient selves to ship orders on 25th July
