Delivery to Customers Outside The UK

Recent changes due to Brexit means that if you are a customer having your order delivered outside the UK, you will almost certainly have to pay additional VAT and customs charges before receiving your parcel.

We are not VAT registered in the UK but your country will still want to collect VAT on your import.  Unfortunately, we cannot avoid this.

We did consider registering for VAT in the UK so we can use the IOSS system and we collect the VAT from you at the point of sale but there are two problems with this 1) The people in charge of VAT in the UK haven't confirmed that we can do that solely for non-UK sales and 2) many countries are STILL requesting VAT from customers, even when it has been covered already by IOSS.

So, whilst we wait for clarification from HMRC in the UK and we wait for IOSS to be working properly and not double-dipping customers for VAT, we will continue to ship orders outside of the UK with all the necessary customs information for the VAT to be collected locally.

It is therefore very important that you monitor the email address entered with your order for notifications from the courier to pay your VAT and fees online before they deliver the goods.  We cannot be responsible for undelivered or missing goods outside of the UK as once they are in customs, it is completely out of our control what happens to parcels if the duty is not paid.

We could just stop taking orders from our customers in the EU but we'd still like to sell to you if you'll have us! It's just going to cost you about 25% extra.  For our part, we are constantly reviewing our EU delivery charges and whenever we can reduce delivery costs to compensate for these additional charges, we will.

THIS DOES NOT APPLY TO CUSTOMERS IN NORTHERN IRELAND BUT IT DOES APPLY TO REPUBLIC OF IRELAND.  So, if you are in ROI and have the option to take delivery in NI, we recommend you do that!

FOR CUSTOMERS OUTSIDE THE UK AND EU NORMAL LOCAL CUSTOMS CHARGES ETC APPLY AND ALL RELEVANT PAPERWORK WILL BE PROVIDED AS USUAL.

We are no longer able to send ceramic and fragile items outside of the UK.  Unfortunately this is due to a rise in incidents of mishandling and breakages regardless of how we package the items. We can only send these items if the customer accepts the risk and we will let you know if this applies to your order.
